Sometimes, just sometimes, we modern humans are guilty of huberous. It seems that everything needs to be the latest, glossiest and most techno fashionable, to be be desirable today and then throw-away-able tomorrow! This of course blinds us to to a few fundamental facts. Truly competent amplifiers were developed a hundred years ago and there is a reason why we used to make all those rectangular stand mount boxy speakers in the 1960s-1970s.
