Fifty years is a long long time in audio history. Accuphase started life in 1972 and within a year they had moved into their purpose built Yokohama factory, a building they still occupy. Three months later the first models emerged, the P-300, C-200 and T-100. All these models are famous, sought after and most are still giving faithful service. Indeed Revolution Turntable have the T-100 and the first Integrated, the E-202 (1974) as working demonstration units in our boutique! Many famous marques are still in existence but few if any can trace their ownership, location and importantly, manufacturing culture and philosophy, back to the very first day they started.
To mark and celebrate fifty productive years, Accuphase have embarked on a series of Anniversary models. This fabulous C-3900 precision stereo preamp is in fact the second to emerge, the first was the equally fabulous E-800 Class A Integrated tour-de-force. A force so irresistible that Pierre, our intrepid leader, is in love! There is more, although not heralded as an anniversary model, the new ground breaking C-47 is worthy of sharing the anniversary podium as a truly high end phono preamplifier.

I started my hifi journey as an audio enthusiast back in 1997, and throughout this journey I turned over a diversity of audio gears from vintage to latest modern technology. Just like many local audio enthusiasts, I was a skeptic whenever the Accuphase name was brought up. Mainly was due to its lack of presence in our domestic market. In 2010, I had an opportunity to audition an Accuphase setup from my audio circle and it had me gobsmacked. With disbelief, I walked away mesmerised. Unable to live with my currently electronics at time for approximately 6 months, my perception toward Accuphase electronic was slowly improved to a turning point that I decided acquire an Accuphase unit to tryout in my very own setup. I had never looking back and very pleased with my transition into Accuphase since. Pierre at Revolution Turntable had been fantastic and through him I was able to secure my Accuphase C-3900 here locally. A very first unit internationally released outside Japan, late July 2020.
C-3900 is my end-game for preamp, and I had gone through extensively with a diversity of preamps in my very own setup.
Sum up, C-3900 is the best purchase decision I have ever made on an audio acquisition since 1997. I stand firmly on my comment/statement. Once again, thank you Pierre for your awesome post sale customer supports as always.
