• LINTON Heritage

The Wharfedale LINTON represents one of the most iconic models in the long history of Wharfedale loudspeakers. A model that embodied the Wharfedale pioneering research through the 60s, 70s and 80s, with a bloodline dating back to 1965, LINTON has always been manufactured according to the Wharfedale principles of quality and value for money. The new Wharfedale LINTON further exemplifies these two edicts, balancing fine craftsmanship, natural sound quality and affordability inside a beautifully proportioned loudspeaker that has been bought in its millions right across the globe through it’s various incarnations.

The original LINTON was well known for its warm, rich and natural sounding character and the new Wharfedale LINTON retains that standing but imbues it with an open, detailed performance that will entice you to explore your whole music collection, once more.

  • History in The Making

Gilbert Briggs, who founded Wharfedale in 1932, turned the company into one of the most famous loudspeaker manufacturers in the world by concentrating on quality and value for money. The Wharfedale Denton exemplified these two edicts. Balancing fine craftsmanship, natural sound quality and affordability inside a compact loudspeaker that was bought in its millions right across the globe.

The original Denton went on to father other models based on its highly popular formula, the Denton 3 being the last of the line… …until now!

Like classic rock, vinyl records and valve amplification, sometimes you get it right the first time ‘round. And so Wharfedale proudly introduce the Denton 85th Anniversary Edition two-way bookshelf loudspeaker, a re-imagining of one of our most famous and popular loudspeakers to date. A mixture of traditional and advanced technologies offer warm, rich and natural characteristics while delivering further detail and dynamics. And the sound? Well, it’s the way it was then combined with what you like now. This is a veritable modern classic.

Tellurium Q cables are available in a variety of prepacked lengths, together with alternate terminations. Custom lenghts are also available, again with terminations to suit your system configuration. Please contact us with your requirements.

  • Tellurium Q Black was our first cable and we knew we were on to something special...

...when we took the prototypes to various dealers for their comments and input. One in particular would not believe that it could match the somewhat thicker more expensive cable in his demonstration system. We sat down and listened to some of his familiar music tracks, then we swapped the cable for Tellurium Q Black. He sat forward, looked at us and quite seriously asked what else we had done to his system while we were changing the cables over. It was only when he swapped the cables himself a couple of times he believed the evidence of his ears.

So why Black II? Despite Black winning multiple awards, surprising owners with it’s performance and more people than ever choosing to use it in their systems? We have been learning and developing, especially in the last few years and have come up with a way to make this little gem even better. The only thing to do was to give it to our customers. Switch Black for Black II and it is completely obvious which is which. Once you hear the difference, it is also completely obvious why we felt compelled to upgrade Black in the way that we have.

We think you will get more from your music and hope that you love Black II as much as we do.

  • If you like a full, rich, clear sound then you need to listen to your system with the Ultra Blue.

Building on the strengths of the award wining Blue cable and going much further. This cable has been developed with home cinema, custom installation and good hifi performance in mind. If you like a full, rich, clear sound then you need to listen to your system with the Ultra Blue. In terms of performance the Ultra Blue sits assuredly between the entry level award wining Blue and the multi award wining Black cables.

“It finds the direct line to the music’s rhythms and dynamics, and weaves them together in a wonderfully cohesive way. You find yourself not listening to the hi-fi, but totally immersed in the music, forgetting completely about your system.” Hi Fi Choice.

  • Tellurium Blue is the entry level speaker cable with great detail and phase control.

Tellurium Blue is the entry level speaker cable that was designed to be the companion to Tellurium Q Black and has been described by one well known manufacturer of speakers as having “good mid, but softer sounding” than the Tellurium Black. While having great detail and phase control is less revealing of a system than the Black.

HiFi World has described the most noticeable qualities of this cable as being, “a welcome absence of muddle..” and, “a more neutral, focused, precise aura settled on the music. In fact the Blue cables exhibited a tremendous sense of control; something that I’ve never heard from any cable at this price point.
