Science of London Room Kits
The single most important goal when treating the acoustics of a room is to create a neutral listening space so that music played back on your system will be as natural sounding and satisfying as is possible within the confines of a normal domestic environment. Most residential or commercial rooms are rectangular with parallel walls. This means that these rooms will suffer from powerful primary reflections, flutter echo, standing waves and resonance. The good news is that since we know that these problems exist, we can predict what will occur and develop solutions to address each one. Does this mean that with a London room kit you can turn a living room into a million dollar concert hall? No, this would be impossible. But what we can do is turn a bad sounding room into a very functional listening space that will enhance your audio experience. Primacoustic panels are available in 4 convenient kits, of which we have chosen the London 12 kit to be the most useful size for our conditions. However all rooms are obviously not the same size or shape and additional individual panels are available to supplement the kits or to design a custom array. Additionally diffusers, bass traps and ceiling panels are available to either add to a kit or to use individually to address specific acoustic problems.
