Drawing on 40 years of making records at Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, the new MoFi Electronics division is focused on improving the sonic integrity of audio reproduction in the home. Our products are the result of multiple collaborations with some of the world’s best audio designers, stemming from decades of experience in the studio.
We designed three new high-output, moving-magnet phono cartridges in collaboration with Allen Perkins of Spiral Groove. MoFi cartridges use a V-Twin dual-magnet generator that mirrors the design of a lathe’s stereo cutter head. Two powerful low-mass magnets are accurately aligned in parallel with the stereo record grooves to achieve excellent channel separation and detail retrieval true to the Original Master Recording
